DID YOU KNOW?

The critical difference between a 401k Plan (Employment Retirement Income Security Act 1994 – ERISA) and a Deferred Compensation 457 Plan (Section 457 Tax Revenue Act 1978) is that the assets of a 401k Plan (State and Municipal employees not eligible for this plan) must be held in a trust and belong to employees and that the assets of a 457 Plan (only salary deferred plan available to State and Municipal employees) cannot be held in a trust and belong to the employer.

***Why Pre-Need Funeral Planning?

  • Have you ever been responsible for making funeral arrangements for a loved one or friend in the past?
  • Were the arrangements pre-planned or did you have to make the decision at the time of need?
  • How did that experience affect you?
  • If there had been a death in your family yesterday, what would you be doing today?
  • What difficulties would this create for you?
  • The national average cost of a funeral every year increases by 6%.  Example:  If the cost of a funeral today is $7,500, in 10 years that same funeral would cost you $13,431!

Pre-Need Planning arrangements that guarantee funeral goods and services at TODAY’S  prices for your senior family members are now available through arrangements made by DAVCO  Financial & Insurance Services in the San Francisco bay area.
